PLEASE READ - IMPORTANT BRIDGES/MONROE SUMMER INFORMATION

Summer ACES Bridges and Monroe families,

This summer the district will have an asbestos abatement project at Bridges Community School. The abatement project will involve the removal of floor tile and mastic (the glue that holds the tile to the floor) in the basement hallway. To complete this project, they are required to construct a containment unit that is under negative air, which will restrict access to the building. The project is scheduled to begin after the school year ends and is estimated to take 4-6 weeks to complete.

Due to the nature of this construction project, no programming will be allowed in Bridges Community School until the asbestos abatement and re-flooring is completed. The ACES Summer program at Bridges Community School will use the Monroe building for the first 4-6 weeks of summer until the project is complete. Once finished, we will move to the Bridges building for the remainder of the summer. When you register next week for the Summer ACES Program, please note that the site will read Bridges/Monroe.

We appreciate your flexibility during the construction and transition process!

Registration for the 2017 Summer Season is open!

Registration Deadline is Friday, May 1st @ 4:30 p.m.
(Sites will fill before the deadline, so register early!)

Little ACES - Incoming Kindergartners Fall 2017
Little ACES is a program for children entering Kindergarten in the Fall of 2017. At this age, children are developing rapidly;as such, this program is geared specifically towards children who have not been to Kindergarten. The main focus will be to prepare them for the upcoming elementary school experience.  Little ACES will consist of an enriching assortment of age appropriate activities, routines and field trips.

ACES: 1st—5th Grade
ACES is a high quality school age child care program in a fun, educational and recreational environment. The ACES Program offers the very best care, with a wide array of age appropriate activities and field trip opportunities. Our goal is to ensure the success of children in our community by establishing positive relationships and providing opportunities for children to share ideas and feel valued.

Connections (formerly ENCORE): 5th—8th Grade
Connections youth have the opportunity to participate in fun filled age appropriate activities with community service based learning experiences. Connections youth will be able to provide input into what types of activities and projects they would like to participate in. Allowing children to participate this way helps to develop independence and keep them interested in what is happening in their environment. To learn more about the Connections Program, visit the website.

Our Summer Program is a flexible, full or half day childcare option for children entering kindergarten through 8th grade. We are conveniently located at 9 schools in the Mankato/Eagle Lake area with Connections located at Prairie Winds Middle School and Little ACES located at the Lincoln Community Center. Our summer session starts Thursday, June 8th and ends Friday, August 25th (Closed Monday, July 3rd and Tuesday, July 4th).
